yucky smelly DMSA

In a recent post, one mother was having trouble getting her child to take

DMSA. This seems to be one of the few things that will take without

a fight. He'll take a second spoon - no problem, more than can be said for

the flavored powders like SNT.

I wonder if this has any meaning????

When we first got the stuff, my husband loved the smell and my son happily

took it. Both were pretty toxic at the time. With this most recent round,

as Curtis is much less toxic, he's just now starting to complain about the

taste of the capsules as he's swallowing them. Our guess is that if you're

toxic you crave the sulfur and it doesn't taste as bad. Another factor could

be that he was zinc defficient and usually lack of taste goes along with that.

I have noticed this with Philip also. He actually seems to want to take the DMSA. There has to be something in it that he craves.
