I think we are getting stuck and confused because infectious is used to describe and define all types of infectious hep by med professionals and pt's.

Hep A was officially called Infectious Hepatitis when the only 2 types were A and B and than changed to Hep A.

Back than the pt had Infectious Hep or Hep B.

When and what year Dr's accepted NonA NonB or HCV was totally up to them until lab testing was made part of pt's recommended med care.

I'm guessing NonA NonB was also called Infectious Hep because it was.

The change in names did overlap with some Dr's not making the pt's dx clear to them.

Dr's hate change of any kind.

Just confuse the hell out of us some more why don't they !!!!!!!!!! :)
