I have a lot of problems with the birth control pill effecting my mood swings. 9 years ago I went to the doctor because I knew something wasn't right and I thought it was the pill. The doctor said he didn't believe it was so but if I wanted to go off, to go off. So I went off and was back to my old self. After my daughter was born 4 years ago, I went back on more for health reasons (ovarian cancer in family and I have endroimetrios (sp?) but it again messed with my hormones (that and the baby blues) - once I got over the depression, the birth control pill was still affecting me. I tried about 5 different pills up until this time and finally said it just wasn't worth it. I hope you find out differently but just be prepared to try a few before you find " the " one that works the best! GOOD LUCK! le

I have three children, two girls and a boy, my first two were conceived while I was on the pill!! I was totally " scheduled " about taking it and never was on any antibiotics or anything! So, go figure, it was meant to be!!! I have two beautiful little girls and I wouldnt trade them for the world! My doctor just shook his head. Guest guest
> Thanks le, I've actually been on the pill since I was 13 with the exception of this last year.(Cancer all over the family as well) I think I like Ortho-Tri-Cylcen the best thus far and I sont ever remember having a libido problem with that one and then hopefully the zoloft will counteract the depression. I'm crossing my fingers. > Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! > That's the one I was on too that worked the best out of all of them (although it still wasn't the right one - I don't think I was meant to be on them.) Just don't EVER go on Tri-Norinal (sp?) - that one WAS THE WORST ever!!!!

The only thing they have found that works for me is the Depo shot. The one you take every 3 months. The only side effect I have on it is no piriod at all and I don't mind that at all. I am going back on it this month. I was not able to go back on after my last baby cuz they found abnormal tissue on my cervex and thought it might be cancer. Thank God it wasn't. So now I can go back on it with no problems. Well my whole point was this is a good alturnative for those of us that the pill fails. who can't wait to get her shot cuz 4 kids is way more then enough right now !!!! :-)
