I am wearing uniforms at work that are about three sizes too big cuz I am in denial about it. I am lucky to have a wonderful guy to tell me every day that he cannot believe the change in me from when he first met me (May of last year), and when we started dating (last week). I don't see it so much though. I look in the mirror, and the fat girl still looks back at me. I think it takes a long time to adjust to new weight. Especially if you are dealing with a large loss. Guest guest
, With me I am the opposite, I do not think I look too heavy when I look in the mirror in the morning. But when I walk by a window and glance in I barely recognize the heavy person looking back. It is really weird and probably doesn't make any sense. I also get a nice wake up call when I look at pictures of myself, ugh! Angie --- > Sometimes I look in the mirror and am surprised by > what I see. I wonder how > long it takes to adjust? Or when for my 30th birthday in January, my mom bought me a short outfit and I looked at those shorts and thought - oh they look so huge and the fit! Very, very depressing. le
Guest guest
That eake sence..I do the same thing. Right now I am wearing a L t-shirt and it fits fine..I used to have to wear an XL to be comfy. But I still look in the mirror and just see fat...I can see where I am changing, and I can feel where I am changing too, but like you said it is hard too really see yourself and realize that some weight has come offf. Yesterday I had a friend over who hasn't seen me sionce I started doing Tae-o and she looked at me and said..have you lost weight since I last saw you? I guess it is that noticable. Guys, weight and sizes (ot kinda) > I have a male coworker that lost about 80 pounds a year ago. Looking at this > guy now, you would have never known he was once overweight. I have a personal perception problem..but nothing as bad as his. He keeps saying he doesn't see any changes in his body..but he walked around for a long time holding his pants up with his hand because they would fall off of him..really. Then he went to a belt. I bought him new ones..he left them in the closet saying that they were too small..umm..he didn't try them on. I ended up tossing the big ones out and when he didn't have a choice he started wearing the new ones...but thinks the sizing must be wrong...arrrggghhh!!!! The weird thing is..his perception of me is reversed...he thinks my body looks like Shellie's...ROFL..NOT in this lifetime! But Bless his heart for thinking so. Guest guest
Yeah it is great! I have a picture of me done about 2 months before I met Mike and he saw one of them the other day and he said, your face looks smaller then it did here. At that time I was at 175 so I guess you can really see it some. He also told me when he holds me he can tell that I am losing inches in my waist and such...men are so motivational sometimes!!
