The best medical insurence for these individuals is Medicaid because it covers all the treatments and medical expenses. Every State might have different rules but I think the basics apply to everyone. I am sure the application form can be found online or at your local office. A part in the application might have a section that a doctor needs to fill with the diagnosis. I do not think you will have to go to another doctor. Sometimes different insurences have different requests. If the person works the medical insurence might not be completely taken away. It depends on the income of the individual. One thing I am sure though it is much better for a person with a disability to work and feel useful in life than living completely on disability money. I've met many people that have terrible disabling illnesses that did much better when they had an occupation. Part-time work and voluntiring work should also be considered. Stefi.
