They say that the american economy is going extremely well (well at least that's what they tell us in Canada). But the fact is that there are tons of ordinary people losing their jobs everyday!!! Isn't there any compassion anymore from these companies??? I feel your pain Pamela, and although I have never been thru something like this, my fiance has... so I can understand how horrible it can be!!! My prayers will be with you... However, I am quite certain that you will find another job soon... The rate of unemployment is so low in the states, you are bound to find something!!! Good luck! > Hi everyone. Where do you live? Maybe some of us can serve as a good network for you in finding new employment. Thr good thing about this is...with all your experience you are bound to make more money in your new position...if you sell yourself right. Stay strong and " unload " on us anytime! I basically processed the billing in our corporate office for our corporate office customers, plus 4 other offices located in different states. I live in Baltimore, MD. My boyfriend lives on the eastern shore, in Easton which is about 1 hour from Ocean City. He wants me to move in with him there. We were planning on doing that in June anyway, this just speeds things up a bit, so I will have to look for employment either in polis or Salisbury MD. Pam, I am so sorry that you lost your job....give yourself a big hug from me. I truly believe that things happen to us for a reason and although we can't always see that reason right away....somewhere down the line, we'll figure out what that reason was and we'll be better because of those experiences. I know it really sucks right now at the moment, but maybe there is something even better out there for you and you will find a better job that pays you what you deserve and that you will enjoy. Since you have been with this same company for so long....hopefully they will give you a good recommendation and that will definitely be a bonus to other companies looking at your resume (unlike me, whose employment history is all over the place from year to year....ugghhhh). Anyway, please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. And keep doing your tae-bo...if nothing else, now you have something to visual (the people who fired you) and you will feel strong and like you are able to conquer the world. The only jobs I had before this were as a teenager, I worked in a fast food restaurant and a grocery store. So I really don't have any other skills except for office work. I always wanted to work with animals but I havn't been able to go to school, maybe I can find an office job in a vet and then maybe they offer tuition assistance, I'll have to see if I can find any. After having the summer off, I started working for my sister in her daycare and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. I'm a firm believer in things always happening for a reason, you don't always know what the reason is, but you find out eventually.
