Guest guest
> Maybe Italy *does* cause OCD in some way, it's in the water or pasta or something :-) Hope not, because my OCD dd is going there this summer. Kathy R. in Indiana I've still wondered about this secretly. I guess it sounds crazy to wonder about this, but I have. That was the only thing different in our lives when this happened. I hate to admit it, but it seriously does still stay as a question in my mind. I have questioned if it's the high sugar content in the foods--their pastries are too sweet for me, coupled with the pasta dishes and the acidity in all the tomtoes they eat. Then there's the heavy use of olive oil. I could be all wrong, but I have questioned it. Also, in Rome where my son's father lives, there is the heavy influence of the Catholic church which can sometimes have people thinking too much on guilt. I know my son's father admitted to me once that he got obsessive about crossing himself over and over again (you know, making the sign of the cross on himself). I'm not Catholic and I'm not trying to attack anyone who is Catholic here, I've just wondered about everything I could wonder about since my son came down with this after we were in Italy for about 6 months.
