forgot to tell you all

I had a good mail day on Friday! I cant believe I forgot to tell you all. I told you all we finally got approved for the medicaid waiver for a care person to come in for right? Remember I had him pulled from the list that can take years of waiting and had him put into the critical list because he fit the criteria for it? Well, I was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks till I got the award letter. Well, it was 8 weeks, but I got it on Friday. And, per month, the state will pay a carer to come here and help with , watch him, etc 1,348.00. Woohoo. We so need this. Bless his little heart. We so need this. I need this, the girls need it and definitely needs it. Along with that comes other benefits I am now elegible for, but I dont know all of those yet. I do know that every 5 years or so, I get allotted 15,000.00 for adaptive equipment etc, as long as it is approved. I wonder if that would include the service dog that we are working on getting the application in for . He so needs this too. They can do wonders. Also, I got the link card and letter, and we get 495.00 per month. It says from 1-9-10 to 1-31-10, so I wonder if that means that the start of the new month it will be more since this started on the 9th? Does anyone know? I dont care though because this is about what I spend on groceries a month. YAY!
