Guest guest
Wow , if that's not OCD then I'm at a loss (re your description of son's wiping)!! I quickly read Kathy R's reply to you and have to say avoidance is common. did this too, avoid. Might be stuck for hours if he attempted something. So, he couldn't pick up a pencil, look at a page in a book, couldn't touch things, didn't want to get up to do something (if it had taken a lot of trouble to sit down in the first place).... Bedtime was a huge issue. Often when I'd say " time for bed " he'd ask for a few minutes, saying it'd be easier if later than now; guess maybe he was psyching himself up, don't know. But it could take a couple hours some nites before he managed to get in/on his bed and it felt " right. " Well, got to get to work. More later, but hang in there! > > I'm reading your posts, too, and I don't want you to think you're alone > either. It is taking my 15 year old son a very long time to get into > bed tonight as always. My boyfriend is fed up and just can't take it. > Sooo many issues. Tonight my son didn't want to come into the house > because he said he was afraid of having something else happen once
