Guest guest
I had a bad problem with feet & legs swelling & had knots in my legs. It was called erothema nodosom. They weren't sure if it was caused directly by the tx or caused by tx screwing with my thyroid. Get your thyroid checked -- tell the doc you need TSH checked. That's easy to correct (with meds) if that's the problem. De Faith is the ability to not panic. -----Original Message-----From: Barbara Beagley [mailto:peacecreekpaints@...] Sent: Thursday, December 30, 2004 7:24 AMHepatitis CSupportGroupForDummies Subject: strange new sideHi everyone, I don't know what is going on I have notstarted any new meds and have only been done with txsince Sunday, but for some reason my feet are swelledhorribly up past my ankles this morning. Guest guest
You know after my TP I started, well lets just say some things started again.. I was sure that that was over..But alas it wasn't.. I did some research and discover that the liver controls a whole heck of allot of different things. Hormones and all. and that persons ongoing TX will experience Thyroid problems.. the liver is a amazing organ, and one we can't live without..Kathy B. Guest guest
Our poor livers have the huge task of keeping us alive with over 500 functions daily that keeps all our systems total body functioning well and synchronized.. Throw in HCV and any type of med and our total body and all systems become involved and effected one way or another. The imbalance sometimes chemically becomes a chain reaction of additional symptoms, syndromes and added diagnoses and illnesses. Our entire body is being attacked by HCV a chronic viral infection and our immune system and body is being weakened by the continuous struggle and fight.
