Guest guest
, Unfortunately, I think you are just witnessing the natural human tendency to CYA (Cover your ....). The more established they become the less willing they are to stick their necks out and get something accomplished. I think we all have a tendency to do this, the AMA/FDA have just taken the tendency to new heights and a new artform, while our children & we suffer. We need to just move ahead and the faster we move ahead the faster they will run to catch us - and everybody will gain. I will never forget the head of the " Downe's Syndrome " Society (or some such thing) being interviewed about a nuritional therapy. He was being asked this same question about the therapy that I have witnessed working with a friends child to the point of her looking and acting way above " normal " (There original doctors recommended " institutionalizing her " as there was no hope). His comment was " We have to be careful not to give " false hope " ! " I suppose " false despair " is much better, since that is all a lot of doctors give parents when consulted on these matters. As one Australian Doctor puts a quote on the bottom of his email " Dare to be wise. All truth goes through three stages: first it is ridiculed: then it is violently opposed: finally it is accepted as self evident. " Schopenhauer. Another quotes " The problems of today cannot be solved using the same thinking that created them " . - Einstein Don't stop contacting thes people, you may get through to them but don't beat yourself if you cannot convert them all - I loved the story ('s - I think?) you gave his doctor Dr. Amy's protocol and 2 weeks later got a call from him - Every journey starts with a single step. Guest guest
Ken, I guess the reason I'm so bugged by this lack of attention is that more parents aren't becoming aware of this treatment because it isn't being discussed as much as the others. So many more children could be having hair analysis done to determine their level of toxicity if Autism organizations would be alerting their parents to this possibility and encouraging them to look into it. What's controversial about that? What gives false hope when you discover a toxicity and strive to treat it? The child can't help but improve! It may not be a " cure " , but it will most certainly help! So why the hesitation? I just don't get it! [ ] Re: Focus on Chelation? Guest guest
My feelings exactly! My point though, was just that their tardiness should not change our resolve to change things. Also, if we spend too much time being upset, we waste our energy when we could be doing something more constructive. Doesn't that sound superior - not meant to be Much love, KenG > > > Listmates, > > > I wrote to an autism website asking why there is so little and > > sometimes No attention given to the recent discovery that autistic > > children are contaminated with mercury, lead, and other heavy metals > > and that they often improve with detox and/or chelation therapies. > > This particular site responded that they are waiting for scientific > > studies to be done and for the " debate " to be over. > > > I can't figure this out! Guest guest
No, you didn't sound like you're coming off superior - just guiding me onto a more constructive path. I am VERY happy with this treatment so far and looking forward to more improvements as my darling daughter becomes free from the grasp of these horrible toxins! I sent information about mercury/chelation home to a mom of a little boy in Sydney's class who is frail and chews the neckline of his shirt into shreds every day. I haven't heard from her but I do hope she thinks about having him tested. Getting the word out doesn't always mean that it will be accepted. I guess we'll all just have to set an example, eh? thanks for your wisdom, Ken [ ] Re: Focus on Chelation? Waiting for debate to be over? > My feelings exactly! Guest guest
When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer 14 years ago, we sought and researched most of the options. Decided against the AMA recommended cut(surgery), burn(radiation) and poison(chemo) especially after reading a book by a Dr. Satarillo in which he eventually decided on MAcrobiotics after a long struggle. It finally decided us to do Macrobiotics. I was such a " born again " convert that I bought about 25 of the books and handed then out to all the people who had, or had a relative with, cancer. Also, my wife's family, who were all dead set against us not taking the advice of the " real " doctor. We cleaned out our systems so well (had been told we would never have a child), was born almost 12 months to the day after. We are blessed with a miracle. Not only did no one that we gave the books to ever try Macrobiotics (most are dead now, the othres have no breasts opr other body parts, but no-one even had the good graces to return the book. But, my wife's OBGYN has referred many people to my wife to discuss options and maybe some of them have done something more cinstructive. Guest guest
Ken , That is really encouraging. Which book did you buy and what stage was the breast cancer your wife had? My friend's mom has breast cancer stage 2. She did the operation and now she is taking vitamins and eat organic foods. Did you follow the diet to the T? mt Gullan wrote: > When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer 14 years ago, we > sought and researched most of the options. Guest guest
Ken - I'd like to know which book as well.
