Guest guest Posted February 10, 2011 Report Share Posted February 10, 2011 Last week an 8th grader (livs in 7th) started threatening to smack down Olivia! She is in all 8th grade classes, so she is surrounded by older kids. She is 64 lbs and maybe 4ft 6....Liv wouldnt back down and eventually the girl threatened to put her back in the hospital!!! Needless to say, I was out for blood but wanted to see if my girl could handle it herself.......AND SHE DID!! I never coached Liv to back down as I dont want her to get into this habit so early in life and I knew this incident would be a great life lesson for her. Yesterday, she let the girl have it in the lunchroom. I was so relieved to find out that she handled it with a strong, witty verbal assault and left the 8th grader in tears. I dont condone verbal assaults but my girl must stand up for herself and I am so proud of her. Now, the entire school knows not to mess with my girl. She stood up for herself to someone bigger and older in front of the entire school! And everyone moved to Livs side of the room showing the girl (and her 2 friends) whose side they were on!
