Guest guest
I noticed that one of 's doctors noted in 2 of his reports " wedging at the apex of the curve " . Could someone explain what " wedging " means? Thanks! ~ in Michigan Mom to , age 4 35* pre-treatment, 10* in cast #3, currently in brace, hoping to cast #4 soon (possibly Chicago Shriners)
Guest guest
Wedging usually means there is a vertebrae that is wedge shaped. That can result from an extra vert that didn't fully form or one that is suppose to be there that didn't fully form. I would think that would mean has a "hemi-vertebrae" somewhere in her curve and it also would mean that she has congenital scoliosis, not idiopathic. My daughter had a hemi between T8 and T9. Her story is on the ISOP web page. Let me know if you need any other info. Jane Grace, 4 1/2 yrs old.
