Guest guest
I to see no harm in what you child's is doing and to know that in schools many girls to still like whinnie the pooh and mickie mouse and will wear much things of this as well as hello kitty so not to worry it to be something she is just to be liking for now. I to be an adult and still prefer to watch a Disney movie more than any other type of films, they are fun creative and we often are focused on animations and things that are over dramatic, maybe she is to be learning more on things outside of academic from the show such as the strong social things they teach such as sharing, turn taking , play and such . Maybe she it to be self teaching some concepts she is lost in right now so she to lacked the words to it but is self adapting herself how to learn what she to feels she needs too. I to be to do it all the times in life. Sondra

Guest guest
I guess I am used to having the kids shows on Tv........i have a 4 year old son, so I have them on for him, but my 8 year old HFA just loves them, and when she is going to school, she asks me to tape some of them. I don’t find anything wrong with this now, as I believe she needs some time " out " where she can just sit and relax, especially after a busy day at school etc.........i have already almost come to the acceptance that most of our girls will always be a lot younger in things than age, for whatever reason they will prefer the things of the younger age group, probably because they can lose the resonsibility in it........i wouldn’t be worrying, if she is still doing her school work and reading. Cheryl S [australia] Question about regression I have a question and has anyone else had this promblem and WHAT DO YOU DO? My nice quiet 10 yr old dd who has Asperger's Syndrome has now regressed back to watching 3-5 yr old TV shows. Over the summer, it was the normal age appropriate shows that she had always watched but now she insists on watching Sesame Street, Blue's Clues, etc.. She seems quite content in these shows and it doesn't interfere with schoolwork(we homeschool) and the like. But we do find it disconcerting that a 10 yr old would want to watch Grover count to 10! We have attempted to talk to her about this and convince that she's far too young for these shows but her response is, " But I like it. " She doesn't seem to have regressed on anything else like reading material and is still a 4th grade level in most of her schoolwork(6th gr. level in math). Should we worry about this or just leave her be and see if it's one of those 'she'll grow out of it' things? It's making us a little nuts because her 7 yr old ADHD sister is going in the opposite direction and is now attempting(without our permission) to watch much older and more agressive/violent shows which is against house rules(they tend to mirror actions in the shows like PowerPuff Girls). ANY suggestion would be gladly accepted. Aviv

Guest guest
Hey Cheryl, When I was a young teen, I had a penpal from Australia named Flanagan. We wrote to each other for maybe three years or so. She lives in the Dandenong area, near Melbourne? if I'm not mistaken. Zip was 3174. Maybe you're familiar with the area? I didn't know what area of Australia you were actually from. Our summer this past year was pretty dry as well. Right now, we have a big snowstorm, the schools are closed, the girls are chillin' with me and their dad!! Re: Question about regression > > > Havent got a video or seen one, could check E-bay? Guest guest
Where are you? We're in Southern New Hampshire. We were supposed to get a " dusting " today and there's already 4 or 5 inches out there. That's on TOP of the probably 3 feet that's already fallen this year! YUK and double YUK! Mother Nature is sure giving us our money's worth this year!
Guest guest
Hi Rhonda!! I live in Northwest Connecticut!! We were " supposed to " only get 1-3 inches, but we have maybe 6 or 7 out there! Our end of the state (which usually gets clobbered) was supposed to get the least amount of snow. The North and East and shore was supposed to get it. Girls are home and loving it!! had a short week as it was cuz her school was closed Monday due to the " mystery rash " that afflicted 15 students and teachers. I guess yesterday some teachers and students went home for rash, but they claim that the school's enviroment is the best its ever been. Re: Question about regression Where are you? Guest guest
Isn't that funny!!!! Same thing here, " just a dusting " they said. Snowed all day and now we've got 7 more inches out there. Just great. I read the Farmer's Almanac and it said that February 9-13, BLizzard. Now I know they're only right 40% of the time but I " m hoping and praying that this isn't one of those times!!! I'm so all done with this crap. I keep telling myself " only 5 more months til summer... " but I don't know how much longer that's gonna sustain me!! We're almost out of wood, that's how cold this winter has been for us. I can't wait to win the lottery so I can move to a warmer climate during the winter months, know what I mean!!!! Guest guest
Well, of course the Puxatawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter (or is it 6 months!!)!!! Guest guest
Yeah, well I have a whole problem with the little gopher issue. It only makes sense to me that if it's sunny out, the little critter's gonna see his shadow, eh? I say, we shoot the little buggar and request a meeting with good ol mother Nature and hash things out with HER!! You know, explain how we'd prefer a blizzard in AUGUST, when we REALLY need it, rather that January through March when it's already cold!!! Guest guest
You crack me up!!! I agree with you!! I'm tired of this lousy weather, and not matter what kind of Doppler the weather guys have, Mother Nature is gonna do Her thing anyway! I wish I had a good comeback, you took the words right out of my mouth!! Re: Question about regression Yeah, well I have a whole problem with the little gopher issue.
