Ok so some of you may remember my son Isaiah who is now 2.5 yrs old has also

been diagnosed w/autism and is in speech therapy but is currently no verbal.

One of his favorite shows is on Nick Jr...Ni hao, kai_ian... its a show about a

Chinese speaking girl. My son loves it!

So today we are watching it and they say something in chinese. He looks at me

and in " perfect " chinese repeats the word!!! WOW!! Maybe we are teaching the

wrong language! LOL! His only english word is dada so imagine my suprise!!!

is pretty thin(skinny)and has tiny little arms. The other day I was in my BR putting on makeup and comes in looking at this arms in the mirror. He says, "My arms are so skinny....my food is not getting down inside them." I explained food does not go to your arm and the whole food break down. And then told him as he gets older they will get bigger. Without a second thought he says, "So when I get older my arms will be fat like yours?"

I love how children see things and are so honest.

repeats the " s " and " k " sounds. And he babbles dada all day long. Hopefully he

will get there eventually!

Go Isaiah!!! That's great news! So glad he spoke another word.... I know how it feels when you think they will never speak. My kids don't have autism but my boys both didn't speak until 2 and it was frustrating. Unfortunately, one of the first words for my oldest son was truck and it came out "fruck" for a year. Needless to say, I turned some heads for a good year!!! One of his favorite shows is on Nick Jr...Ni hao, kai_ian... its a show about a Chinese speaking girl. My son loves it!

So today we are watching it and they say something in chinese. He looks at me and in "perfect" chinese repeats the word!!! WOW!! Maybe we are teaching the wrong language! LOL! His only english word is dada so imagine my suprise!!!
