That is GREAT news!!! I know how you are feeling.... has basically been at or around 14 degrees since September 2007. This may just be it for him....I plan to ask on Monday at his 6 month check-up.

How many hours does Noelle wear her brace now?

I always pray and hope for big improvements, but NO change is pretty good too.

TashaMommy of 5 year old twin boys- and Fort Worth, Texas is treated at Texas ish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. After being treated in a series of 6 casts for 14 months he is now in a brace and has been since September 2007.

Hi Everyone,

We just returned from Rochester 2 days ago. Noelle was sick again so we made it there by the skin of our teeth once more. We saw ortho first and adjustments were made to her current brace, which meant that this was the second visit in a row that we did not need to do anesthesia. Then we saw our casting doc and had x-rays taken. Noelle is still holding at 14 degrees in a standing x-ray. Her rotation is just a trace and her RVAD is at 8 degrees now. Her in brace x-ray shows no measurable curve for the first time, which we are very pleased about. At the risk of sounding selfish and ungrateful, I am a bit disappointed that we are holding at 14. Thanks Tasha! I always feel a bit guilty when I post a little disappointment at otherwise good news, but I know so many moms understand the feeling. You always want just a little bit more and a little bit better for your kids. I feel like being somewhere in the single digits would give me better peace of mind because I feel it offers a little bit more wiggle room, especially since we did have regression in her last brace. But absolutely do agree that no news is good news, so to speak! Noelle is able to take the brace off for a couple of hours a day now, which is new. I don't plan to start that until it gets a bit warmer here or until I get her signed up PT or some type of activity like that. I am crossing my fingers, toes and praying like crazy for your little guy on Monday! Let me know how you make
