Guest guest
Hi NevinWe are treading a very similar path to you having just been through our forth grand mal seizure (last one was on Monday at the hammersmith bus station), we now have our CWH ped neurologist appointment (seeing Dr Kinali) scheduled for this tuesday where they wish to prescribe antiseizure medications. I feel this is only a band aid solution and I am dedicating this weekend to research so that I can be armed with questions that they might look into further to help ds. I feel like we are in a maze with a blind fold on .... in fact i dont think many of the drs know how to navigate the medical system either! I am looking at the metabolic imbalances, breathing techniques, nutrition options.... just trying to be proactive rather than waiting for the drs. I am catching up with a couple of drs from CWH to get some names and ideas of paths to take both through nhs and outside. In addition to this I am have lined up an appointment to a good nutritionists and have set up an appointment to see linda scotsman. The last seizure gave me a good kick start!Margaret curious to know who is Mrs ?ASD is one thing, seizures are adding another layer that I find rattles my world a little too much and as a mother i feel totally helpless. I am trying to turn around this helplessness into being proactive, and powered by knowledge that can help unlock the reason why we have the seizures and ideally help the autism. Happy to give you any of the names i find in this process and would love to hear how you go and for that matter anyone else that has been down this route.
