New- 2 year old with Scoliosis

I was so happy to find this support group!! My name is

and my 2 year old son has scoliosis. He has a congenital myopothy that is causing his scoliosis. Because of this he is being braced instead of

casted. Mason has been in a brace for about 4 months now. His orthopedic

surgeon says that he will certainly need surgery but that we will hold off for as long as possible. Has anyone else had an experience similar to

this? We are in Rochester, NY and the doctor we see is amazing but it is nice to

hear from other parents who are going through similar things.
