Keep on them ! Advocate for your son is the best thing you can do for

him. Mommy radar and gut instinct is rarely ever wrong. We know our kiddos

better than anyone!

Hi , I am in the middle of about 12 things right now and I know I already

sent you a whole novel, but thought it might help if I let you know that I DO

know that Dr R and Dr M (the doctor he works with) are frequently in a single

surgery for 12 - 14 hours straight, with one patient under general the whole

time. They really take care of their patients. Google him and check him out a

little if you are interested that is how I know. He has sent patients letters

refusing them service because he is so busy in the past. fyi, sorry for sending

this this way, off to look after three kids overwhelming my husband.

Yeah, his receptionist is soooo not nice eh? Our pediatrician couldn't even get

through her to talk to Dr. R!!!

I went down there in person (that day I met you!), and still got nowhere...

While I know the Dr.s at BCCH are very reputable, the crazy wait times, crammed

waiting rooms, overbooking, etc. are a big part of why we skipped over them with

Audrey and went straight to Shriners Hospital. My son has been seen at the

ortho clinic there a ton (he had a bone tumour and then had it removed), and

it's just been a miserable experience

Good for you for being assertive!

And btw, did you get an appointment at Portland?

le,We any to Portland on feb 15. They didn't do xrays or anything. The dr told be they wouldn't treat Thaddeus unless we got reffered by Dr R. They barley looked at him and set us home. I know its frustrating but atleast Thaddeus can do his pool Pt in the mean time while we wait for a cast date. I'll keep calling and see where we get. Oh how frustrating! I wonder why? Our experience in Portland was really great
