Guest guest
So decided today that he was going to spit his juice out every time he drank from his sippy cup. The top edge of his cast is wet. I tried to use the cool setting on the hair dryer to dry it but that scared him so bad. This is our 2nd cast so I'm still getting used to it all. What is everyone's experience with wet casts? It is not soaked, but it is wetter than I would like for it to be. Guest guest
It happens. Don't stress about it. Just use a towel or paper towel to pat it dry the best you can. It will dry and be fine. Guest guest
My son does this sort of thing too. He once fell in a lake and the cast was okay. We had to take the shirt off and dry it and put it back on and he only wore it for one week more and used the dryer a lot. The fibreglass they put on the casts does a great job of holding them together, even with a little moisture removal once in a while. PS, I REALLY don't recommend going through what I went through with the lake -- it's why we are getting him a wetsuit, because we have a family cabin literally feet from the lake that I can't avoid. It took me two years to break down and see the family that I missed because I avoided it!! But a little moisture happens. Doing your best will make it work out great, don't worry about it!!
