Guest guest
Thought I'd add... on second look, it does say the cast is changed every three to six months. I am quit confident this is a mistake. I have a call into his nurse anyway, so when she calls me back I will clarify. I can't imagine with his experience, this would be true. So happy for Riley Hospital and the kids of Indianapolis!!! > > I was looking through the database the other day and was shocked to see Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis on the list. I live in Indianapolis. Have my whole life... I knew they couldn't have been practicing casting for very long. I do know that Dr. L (who used to be at Shriner's in Chicago - was the chief of staff before Dr S) was a doc at Riley, but he has since moved on to West Virginia I think. But he was not applying EDF casts while he was here. > > Of course, I had to research for myself... just the way I am. I hadn't heard anyone else here talk of Indianapolis or Riley. And at first I couldn't find anything on the internet, but here's the story from Riley. http://rileychildrenshospital.com/parents-and-patients/riley-speaks/sep2010.jsp > > Dr. K co-authored an article with Dr. D (SLC), Dr. S(Chicago/Cincinnati), Dr. K (Alabama), Dr. S (Rochester). SOOOO excited to add another hospital to this list!!! Riley Hospital in one of the largest and most well respected children's hospitals in the country:) Yeah!!! >
Guest guest
, I don't think 3 months is unreasonable at all. Makenna wore each of her casts for exactly 12 weeks. Never any less. She was 2.5 when we started casting. I just wanted to clarify that I saw that statement and didn't want anyone to jump to the conclusion that he wasn't following Mehta's principles because I firmly believe that he is. I am equally excited for the kids of this region. Also beneficial is the amount of money and notarity that Riley has going for it. They do a fantastic job of marketing and PR. I am hopeful that this can help spred the message of ET and EDF casting. When the nurse calls back, I plan on talking with her about using Makenna as a testimonial for the treatment even though she wasn't treated at Riley or by Dr. K. > >> > >> I was looking through the database the other day and was shocked to see Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis on the list. Guest guest
Riley will have their ET Program up and running within the next week or so. Their Noel EDF Casting Frame will arrive next week and ISOP will begin referring patients at that time. VERY EXCITING! Thanks for sharing that w/ CAST! GO ET!
