Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Thought I would pick your brains on this one as my concerns and fears increase. We have been doing biomed for 3 years now, starting when our little one was 3 years old abd much lighter in weight. We have seen him make excellent progress. We have just completed our first year of Chelation, once again with some excellent results. Our problem now is that our son is a lot older and more aware of what is going on around him now, which don't get me wrong is excellent but there is always a draw back. He has become very fearful of needles and hates being held tightly. This has created a real concern over the last couple of months when it comes to completing vital tests essential to continue Chelation. We do intend to try once more to complete a blood draw, but if this fails I am not sure what other Chelation options, if any, there are available to us. Would love to know your thoughts on this. IV are dangerous and i would strongly recommend against using. Im doing the andy cutler protocol on my 2nd year now taking 25mg dmsa+25mg ala every 3 hours round the clock for 60hours min. -- is
Guest guest
Hi Mandi, The last blood results (June 09) showed low platelet count and low iron and sluggish liver; common in most of our kids. There is a need to keep an eye on the Thyroid, but current taking Thyadine to support this, also using Spatone Iron to top up iron levels. Urine test taken in Nov 09, showed a lot of metals coming out; Faecal metals test also showed a nice lot of metals coming out, especially a lot of antimony which is good as it damages nerve cells. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I don't think I've got a useful answer but I thought I would share our experience. We followed Dr Amy Yasko and did some Andy Cutler ALA dosing without blood testing. Dr Amy's main tests are urine (urine essential elements and toxic metals and urine aminos and organic acids). We did do blood testing a just few times early on when we were following DAN! but they were really distressing. For thyroid there are some good saliva tests - the natural thyroid group prefers these over blood tests. Our Eddie has recovered along the way. On Yasko and without chelation he was excreting mercury and other metals naturally - not in big amounts - but it must have been enough everyday to make a difference. Since then we used ALA with Andy Cutler dosing and saw good things despite a flare of bowel bugs (we still have to work to keep those in check). Hope you work out something good. Guest guest
Sandy can I ask did you do ALA alone or DMSA? I was googling today and came upon your interventions, at least I think it was you, noticed LDM on your wow list, have to say this has been brilliant for , but seeing something else that I can't connect to the LDM but definitely co-incides with starting and that's improved reflux to the point of being able to give him fish oils with no problems after years of trying. Sorry for hijacking thread. Guest guest
Hi Vicky, excuse my ignorance but what is LDM exactly? Guest guest
Hi Vicky, We did ALA alone. We tried transdermal DMSA much earlier and Eddie regressed. This is really unusual - it turns out we have very unusually bad probs with sulphurs. It's one of the main reasions we went Yasko. It would be a shame to put people off dmsa - it just didn't suit us. We also didn't have bowel bugs in check and are pretty sure now we had bad loading. I like Dana (of Dana's View - the first book I bought - in fact I bought 3 copies!) - she used ALA on it's own. Not as effective as DMSA on it's own. We LOVE LDM. I've heard Amy Yasko is going to use it too. LDM was just fab for Eddie and me. We have held the improvements. Amazing stuff. It made Tim very poorly (though we saw improvements later) and left him with reflux that we got rid of with a herb mixture called iberogast. Actually we tried LDM again in the hols - it was quite nail-biting! We used a really low dose - just 2x2 drops for 5 days. It wasn't enough though and it had no effect at all. Guest guest
Sandy, could you please tell me where you bought the Iberogast from??? Thanks, Nikki x > > Hi Vicky, > > We did ALA alone. Guest guest
Hi Nikki, We imported it from Germany. You can also get it from the US. From memory we got 3 bottles which was a good amount. I think this was probably the German website but can't be sure. http://www.apomio.de/suche/IBEROGAST.html I'm not sure if I phoned them up to make the order or if I worked out how to do it on-line. It was amazing stuff - completely sorted Tim's reflux and it had been getting pretty bad - he was just uncomfy all the time and just wasn't wanting to eat. There seems to be quite a bit of published support for iberogast. But maybe we were lucky with how well it worked. Sandyxx > > > > Hi Vicky, > > > > We did ALA alone.
