This helped ph quite a bit..his sinuses would get swollen shut... he also takes a daily allergy med. We went through a bazillion of them before we found one that worked. He is also getting allergy shots...I don't think they have helped us much..he still has that constant confgestion and all that. The allergy meds and nasal spray have been the two things we think make a difference for him. what a bout a steamy bathroom? to help get the gunk out without blowing--when I have sinus infections, it helps me ...also, what about hot chocolate? It warms stuff up and it flows a bit more easily.... just random thoughts from me:-) Pattie > Her nose is all stopped up, I keep putting vaseline in there, she can't > blow her nose, the doc said he didn't want her to start bleeding again. Guest guest Posted September 8, 2003 Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 I flush out my 21 month's nose with nasal saline and then use a bulb syrine to suction..I do this 2-3 times/day...then he has his nebulized breathing treatment. One of the meds he uses is Atrovent, which works to break up mucous. After the breathing treatment, then I use Nasonex. The Nasonex won't work if the nose is blocked and the med can't get up into the nasal cavity. Good Luck! Re: Lynne/nose stuff Lynne, does she have a nasal spray that she uses? Guest guest Posted September 8, 2003 Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 does anyone know what kind of doctor do you see for tendon problems...I just had stitched taken out of 's forehead because not only is he hyperactive, but he runs on his tip toes.. I used to think it was cute-not now--he never walked normally, always high on toes--sooo when he is running, he pitches forward and falls-- his face looks like a road map..he is constantly falling into coffee tables, walls, toys, etc..the muscles in his calves are hard as rocks from always walking and running on tiptoes. I am concerned that he may need his tendons lengthened because they maybe they are no long enough for him to walk normally..anyone ever hear of this before..what kind of doc should he see? Also, by the way, he has hyperflexibility problems--in his legs primarily-- infectious disease doc thought he may have a collgen-related disorder-- what kind of doc do you see for this??? My ped just mentioned that as a possiblity for ...he wants me to exercise his heels/calves due to his tiptoe problem, and wants to see what the genetics doc says after assessment regarding disorders involving sluggish immune system, collagen problems, murmur and failure to thrive, he wants to discuss a neurologist for possible tethered cord syndrome.. All he needs is an MRI, but I refused to do it until he was clear for more surgery. It seemed like too much on our plate at the time. We'll be going back in about a five or six weeks. Even if you get her homebound, or homeschool her, this is by far the most unprofessional, unethical behavior by a teacher I have heard of in a LONG TIME, and I AM A TEACHER (or at least was prior to kids). I'm not kidding, no child or parent should have to put up with this INEXCUSABLE behavior by a teacher. The only reason I can think of for her to not have a full weeks lesson plan ready is that she is not doing the week all at once - and is UNPREPARED for class. Can she be switched to another class? I'd skip the principal, and go DIRECTLY to the superintendent of the school. This could be a SERIOUS problem for the district, ESPECIALLY if something happens. " Well, she's been a teacher for 30 years, she's also the wife of the new principal for the elementary. But I was a little more than mad about her making Sis cry yesterday by hollering at her that her mom did not have any bussiness having her math and reading books. Then the way she came around the corner holding them, and the " I'm better than thou " attitude while telling me that I had no business having the books. You know!! They have pulled her out to " special " classes for reading and Math, but don't want me helping her. You would think that helping her at home would be welcomed from a teacher. I looked up to see how much the student book would cost me, it's 50 bucks. I wish I had it. Sorry to be laying so much on yall this past week. It''s not usually like me.
