Jake's 1st Casting a success!

I just wanted all of you to know that Jake was put in his first cast today at Shriner's in Portland by the only doctor in WA, OR, ID, CA that casts in the Mehta style and it went amazing! He is down from 50 degrees to 15 in his first cast and is happy as a little clam! He is already walking all over tonight at home which is surprising because he just started walking 3 weeks ago!

I can't say enough about the amazing treatment we received at Portland Shriner's from the time we arrived until we left. They even gave us a stuffed teddy bear with it's own cast just like Jake's along with a handmade quilt and toys. I just want to thank all of you and the journey that we have gone through together to get our kids the best treatment possible. If it wasn't for and this group- we would have never known to question the treatments (bracing) and ask for casting.
