Guest guest
......and I can't stop crying. I feel like I am mourning a loss - the loss of my happy, independent, active 2.5 year old daughter. The cast was put on yesterday and the doctor was pleased with the correction. He put a neck piece around her neck (he does this on all of his casts as he feels it gives better results so that the child can't turtle into their cast and shift it). Because of this neck piece, she can't move her head from side to side. It is also quite low on her hips which is making it impossible for her to sit independently. They refused to trim it as they said it would compromise the job of the cast and that she should sit back at an angle - for over a year I asked???? I have been able to get her to sit at her little table and chairs in her room (if she sits on the edge of chair so that her legs aren't at 90% to her) She can't bend down and pick up anything. She can't lower herself onto the floor to sit down. Will this get better? Please tell me this gets better.....
