Guest guest
" I think one of the most confounding thing for NT woman is when sex doesn't work. Occasionally I have had girlfriends, and they are confounded when a man won't be wrapped around her finger because of the promise of sex. AS men aside, nice guys that are NT can sometimes harbor a grudge against women, and sometimes the " niceness " is a mask and when the mask comes off, they really want sex too. I was not friends with woman but eventually in my friendships with men it always came to sex. " I hate my fellow men for having this trait. I will say this...It IS hard for a man and a woman to be friends without a guy wondering if maybe the relationship can become more than friendly, but once the woman states her resolution to keep things on a friendly basis, then that means the door is closed as far as anything more is concerned, and men should honor that. Guest guest
Thank you for this post, Tom. I feel no means no. In a good world we would get to know people as the unique individuals that they are. If we have an honest interest in going further and deeper into a relationship with that person, then we should be able to ask if they feel the same way - - leaving the door open to the other person NOT feeling the same way and then respecting that NO means, NO. Women need to learn to do that for men that they may be interested in and Men for women. I admit that there is a lot of misunderstanding. But it happens on both sides. Perhaps it is easier for Aspies to go beyond and just be friends????? At midlife I look back and see my friendships and see that over the years - even knowing a man was married - meant to me .. . . " look elsewhere! " . . . . . Just because someone is a wonderful person and one has sensual feelings does not mean that the feelings have to be acted on . . . . it just means that we are human and we are having feelings. I have Celiac disease - I love the smell of Pizza and Italian food - I love looking at Chocolate cakes, muffins and pies at the regular, Gluten bakery - I just smile and say, " Yummmm, Yummmmm . . doesn't that look fine! " I am alive and enjoy looking at and smelling good food! But I don't go eating it . . !!!!!! No means no! I have Celiac Disease and Gluten can cause me to go to the hospital . . . . or a good case of open skin sores for eight weeks . . . . Thanks! Guest guest
" It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. " That is interesting, I saw that very same verse stuck on a tv set in a Christian shop today :-) As for the verse itself, well regarding people I am very disheartened - feeling generally disheartened anyway. > > found this while researching low carb simple sugar foods > > Do you know what is at the center of the Bible? > > What is the shortest chapter in the Bible? Guest guest
" I feel no means no. " I am a big believer in the " no means no " philosophy. This was hammered into us at college with a " 'No' never means 'yes' " campaign after a series of date rates on campus. " In a good world we would get to know people as the unique individuals that they are. If we have an honest interest in going further and deeper into a relationship with that person, then we should be able to ask if they feel the same way - - leaving the door open to the other person NOT feeling the same way and then respecting that NO means, NO. " I agree. But I also feel that some women are unclear about what they want and change their minds in the middle of things. It would be better for men if women said " No! " right away and then seriously thought about what they wanted instead of saying " Yes " and then saying " No. " The other thing SOME women are guilty of is to make clear in their own heads and also to men what is fantasy and what is real. Some women have a sexual fantasy that involves being ravished against their will. They ask for men to fulfill this fantasy. It confuses men when they fulfill this fantasy -as both parties agree to do- and then the women say " No! " and MEAN it in the middle of the act.
