Tommy had his first cast put on today!! he went from 68* to 52*..I was expecting a little more correction but this is a great start! We are staying in the hospital overnight since this is his first cast, he also had some breathing issues, so this is the best place for us to be tonight. We hope to be headed back to CA in the morning after a quick check/adjustment by Dr. D or Mike (both are AWESOME!!) Today couldn't have gone smoother and I hope that the next casting goes even better! Tommy is slowly adjusting but I'm sure it's going to take him a few days. Good thing the holidays are coming which means lots of yummy food, lounging in cumfy clothes, and being with family I'll keep you posted as to how Tommy adjusts to his new " Buzz lightyear " vest P.s. We also got to meet Shauna, Kieran, and and that was great! So nice meeting the three of you! Ps.s. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE POLAND FAMILY FOR OUR " CAST BEAR " !! what a great surprise for Tommy and a wonderful friend to help him during his transition to cast life. THANK YOU!
