Barbie, seemed ok to go in to his 3 hours of kindy thismorning, and as

it was his second last day of the school year here, I took him in, deciding the

spots must not be chicken pox at all. Then I read your post and was swamped

with guilt, and thinking I'd be going in to pick him up and find those spots

unmistakably evolved into chicken pox pustules. When I got him home the first

thing I did of course was to check them out and inspect every other inch of his

body for any other spots that may have come up. It was a relief to find the

spots unchanged, and now it is night and he is tucked into bed sound asleep and

the spots are still unchanged. I would be so shocked now if he wakes in the

morning with them any worse. Perhaps they are simply insect bites? Heres

hoping thats all they are! Whatever it is thats caused the spots, he was

looking terribly ill by thisevening, so the virus which began Friday last week

is really taking hold now.

And thanks for the tip on phoning the ER ahead of arrival. I hadnt thought of

notifying them before we got there, but that makes alot of sense- and should

also ensure being seen a little faster, too. (Well, I can always hope!)
