Guest guest
Hey,Sounds like you are on top of it I don't know the contact info for Montreal but I bet someone will chime in. I would still keep the appt in feb just as a second opinion. Also she is young still at 16 weeks so you have time on your side i haven't heard of someone being castes that young but you never know, if I remember correctly i think 7 months is the youngest I have heard on here. Hopfully you can get in quick. Her first x-rays, taken at 10 weeks old, showed a 13 degree curve, and her second x-ray, taken when she was 16 weeks old, showed a 15 degree curve. Neither x-ray spoke of or addressed the rotation the pediatrician, physiotherapists, and we are seeing on naked eye examination - possibly because she's being x-rayed at our local facility, and not at a Children's Hospital (ie, they don't really know what they're doing). Anyway... The pediatrician definitely doesn't want to wait for Audrey's appointment at BCCH in February - she feels strongly that Audrey should be seen sooner. She'd like to refer Audrey to someone who does Mehta casting and is likely to see her sooner. I suggested Montreal, since it's in-country, and she's eager to go with that. I said I'd fill out the application, but the ped says she wants to be able to call the doctor directly and put in the referral herself on the phone. How do I find out the name and contact info for the doctor? I promised I'd get her this info asap. Help!
Guest guest
Yep, we're keeping the Feb appointment. I'm also at BCCH ortho clinic with my son tomorrow (follow up appointment for his surgery), and am bringing Audrey and going to go stalk Dr. R...Wish me luck! > > > So, I just heard back from the pediatrician about Audrey's x-rays. Guest guest
, I have baby brain *sigh* It's THURSDAY I'll be at BCCH, not tomorrow. Donny (my son) has an appointment at 10 am. What time will you be there? Maybe we could meet!!! Don sees Dr. B. and it's always a terrible wait, they never get him in on time (pet peeve of mine - if you're not going to see my kid until 11:30, then make the appointment for 11:30!!!). By the way, saw you got approved for the brace - congrats!!! What a relief that must be! le > > > > > > > So, I just heard back from the pediatrician about Audrey's x-rays. Guest guest
Our appt is at 10:30 I will probably be in or by the cast room in the Ortho department. Thaddeus will probably be the kid screaming lol with me and my mom holding him down. I hate that they always triple book everyone and it takes forever! The only time we didn't have to wait was when we had a 8:30 appt. That would be nice to meet even just to say hi :)Mom to Thaddeus Sent from my iPhoneOn Nov 16, 2010, at 8:08 PM, "chilliwackpitbull" <chilliwackpitbull@...> wrote: , I have baby brain *sigh* It's THURSDAY I'll be at BCCH, not tomorrow. Guest guest
I'll keep an eye out for you! We'll just be in the general waiting area, at some point getting an x-ray over in radiology, then in an exam room to get the results. Hopefully the molding/fitting doesn't go too long or too terribly for Thaddeus le > > > > > > > > > > > So, I just heard back from the pediatrician about Audrey's x-rays.
