Two year old and hair twirl

I could use some help. My 2 year old twirls her hair. It hasn't been

too much of a problem until recently when she gets it into such knots

that I have to cut them out. I'd hate to have to shave her hair.

Even when I put it up she manages to get a few hairs out and twirl. I

think it'll have to come to shaving but I thought I'd ask all of you

" experts " . I have heard that if I shave her hair we might see a

replacement behavior. Personally, I'll take the hair twirl over some

other behavirs I've heard about....
