Guest guest
We have been giving our son (3 years old) BioCare MindLinx Glutamine with Probiotic bacteria food supplement for about two weeks now along with other supplements. We have noticed some improvements but the past few days, he has become really sensitive to noise and light. He has become quite aggressive as well and the nursery has reported increased cases of hair pulling (other kids') as well. We were wondering any of the supplements could have led to his behaviour and while researching found out quite contrasting views about Glutamine supplementation. However, the latest research seems to indicate that it is bad for people with ASD. According to Dr. Blaylock, people with autism and/ or ADHD should avoid glutamine even for short term. source: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/05/01/glutamine.aspx Holford, the nutritionist has also added that glutamine may be contra-indicated with children with ASD, source:http://www.foodforthebrain.org/content.asp?id_Content=1642 I would love to hear the opinion of other people who have used Glutamine before. Cheers, Adam http://www.imaan.biz
