Guest guest
I was very critical of staying still so I shallow breathed and tried not to blink too much either! -Nic In a message dated 13-Jun-00 00:38:48 Eastern Daylight Time, cdautah@... writes: << .. I read too that if there is any change in your breathing while in the Bod Pod, it can throw off the test results. Good Luck! Guest guest
Hey Nic, Thanks for all the great info on the BodPod thing. I still think you look great and 21% BF is awesome! ~Laury
Guest guest
Nic, Take the BF thing with a grain of salt. You used different methods. The point is that you feel and look fantastic right? What more can we ask for. We're healthy, strong and happy women that are taking great care of themselves. At nearly 49 years old I feel more like I'm in my 30's. Imagine how great you'll feel when your my age. Cool huh? I tell my team not to get all caught up in " comparing their BF% with others " they have seen online. All have used different methods to calculate the BF and frankly I like the team to use their own measurements and the fit of their clothes as a guide. I look at my after shot were I thought it was 17.5% but I see others that look nearly identical to that pic say they are 10-13% so I don't pay much attention anymore. Maybe that is why EAS doesn't ask us to do BF% anymore. Jen <--Looking Beyond Bodyfat, Looking toward being my Healthiest Self
Guest guest
Thanks Sara. I appreciate your opinion on the matter. And it was 21.8% not 21.6%. I know, I'm nickle and diming it to death, but a tenth is a tenth!!! The fat I have is the tough and tight sub-cutaneous junk that really is hard to pinch. My skin tone is excellant and I hide it very well. The only place that you'd really notice any dimpling or evident fat is right below my butt. It used to be Ultra Mega Cottage Cheese Butt, but now it's right where my boyfriend likes it and I just wanna get rid of the residual jiggley action going on. I don't care. I'm gonna show that machine in 6-12 weeks. I think I'm going to shoot for 8 weeks. I NEED to keep my training absolutely intense. The Bodylogix program I'm following has about 1/2 the exercises I was doing with BFL so that leaves me to focus all my energy on those few exercises without worrying about keeping some energy in reserve for the long routine of BFL. I can go full-bore right from the start. That I'm doing cardio every evening..whether that be cardio kick-boxing or step aerobics or whatever if there's no class. Today was my first step class. I almost died!!! It was fun and I noticed I could keep up. BFL has really done wonders for my metabolism and endurance. I remember back in the day when I couldn't do the BFL 20 aerobic solution. I'd do 10 minutes and almost pass out!!! Now I'm a lean mean girlie machine! - In a message dated 13-Jun-00 08:34:46 Eastern Daylight Time, sasasup@... writes: << , After looking at all the pictures I have on the internet of people doing BFL, I kind of feel like I can " see " the bodyfat of people. You know what I mean? Like when I look at a woman with 10%, you can see the difference of one with 15% (the tight skin over the abs, the indentations in the hips). In your pictures, your sure don't LOOK like your bodyfat is 21.6%. You seem much more defined than that. Is this making sense to y'all what I'm trying to say? Either you are not 21.6% or there are a lot of inaccurate readings floating around or your bodyfat is certainly not evident to the naked eye! You look fantastic!!! Guest guest
Oh, I totally agree with you. My essential goals have been met and exceeded. My life has been saved and I have a whole new life to look forward to. I'm just doing this now as a hobby, something that's all my own. I'm being a lot more critical of what I do and what the results are. It's a way of pushing myself to see if I can go the distance. I have yet to reach my maximum potential and honestly I don't think I ever will because I'll always find the fire deep inside of me to overcome and exceed and succeed. - In a message dated 13-Jun-00 11:32:44 Eastern Daylight Time, jens@... writes: << Nic, Take the BF thing with a grain of salt. Guest guest
Thanks so much Kit. I appreciate it. I just want to give you a high five, cuz I've been there. We've shared those " slug " moments of the past....and that's where they shall remain...in the past. Gosh. Just reading that email gives me a chill because that's where I was 10 months ago tomorrow. August 14th, 1999, the day I decided to change my body and my life forever. =) It's like a new re-birth-day. - In a message dated 13-Jun-00 21:14:42 Eastern Daylight Time, kit.keyes@... writes: << Wow! You're really going to the next level with all the variety and challenge in the aerobics! Isn't it great having all that stamina? I felt that way this morning on the treadmill. Being able to run for 38 of the 40 minutes (all except warm-up) with the first twenty being the aerobics solution would have caused a coronary 6 months ago. It was a 10 for me to walk for 4 minutes and run for 1. With all the classes and Tae-Bo I probably have years of challenges ahead of me, but it's nice to know that I'm getting stronger and more fit and can see myself doing those things at 49 going on 20. Keep us up to speed on your Body Logix successes! All the best! Kit :=) >>

Guest guest
Nic, Congratulations on your re-birthday! I myself have been at it for 2 1/2 years. I slip a few pounds and jump back into the full swing of things. It happens! We just get with the program again for a few weeks or months and bingo- bango we're our healthy svelt little selves again. My wish, is that we wouldn't ever slip backwards and could just stay the same all the time. What's with that anyways?! sheeeeesh! Jen <--back to the new-normal!
