Guest guest
, Believe me, you're not the only broken record out there! I have been experiencing this frustration with my daughter as well in terms of treatments, academic skills, language, you name it. I just finish shouting Yippeee! and she's worse than before. I had wondered if it was neural pruning. But that would only address the skills, not the reactions to meds. It just came to me. Do you suppose their detox systems are just so fragile that they can handle something new for only so long before it builds up to the point of becoming toxic? We've been dancing with my daughter's meds for a few weeks now trying to figure out WHAT's causing her such problems. I swear, there are times I'd just like to throw them ALL away. Guest guest
Let's put that on the table shall we? I find this across the board with not only my children but others? Do they have one of those kinds of bodies that get immune to things after awhile BECUASE THEIR IMMUNE SYSTEM IS ON OVERDRIVE ALL THE TIME?????? Hmmmm? Kathy [ ] Lamictal We tried it. It was the usual response. He first got better, then got worse. We took him off it. He then had a tremendous response with the secretin. But then, of course, he got worse .... As far as i've gathered this is but one side effect of lamictal, apparantly it also alters other drug levels too. best wishes, margaret. > ________________________________________________________________ > > > >
Guest guest
We found that Lamictal seriously worsened J0-anne's behaviour at therapeutic doses. We are taking her off it. She is seeming better and calmer on mega B6. (started last Wednesday). No, but you should also give him magnesium and vitamin C 4 times a day, plus some zinc and vitamin E. The lamictil should have greatly improved his behavior. If not you may need to try more of it, or another mood stabilizing medication. > > Thank you, >
Guest guest
Loida, Well one would think that treating the underlying condition would be more important than a medicine that treats or is supposed to treat the symptom. So if this drug is not safe to use (I really do not know of any safe drugs......except perhaps for medical marijuana...its the only one that has not killed anyone...according to the House of Lords in England.) and if your son is toxic I would put my energy and hope in that direction. Guest guest
Hi, My 12-year-old son has had seizures since he was 2 1/2. They have changed over the years going from only when sick to almost constantly to now only when he sleeps. We have tried every medication available in the USA and one from out of the country. (Lamictal caused a rash after 3 days on it so we had to stop it. The rash is apparently very come in children.) They did very little to help his seizures. We have been chelating him with several different chelators for 3 years. We started with DMSA then added ALA. These seemed to increase seizures and we didn't get much metal out (no mercury). After about 18 months we then switched to IV EDTA, which got tons of metals including mercury. After 12 IV's we switched to DMPS IV, which was getting lots of mercury and other metals out but could only be done every 6 weeks and we had a hard time getting a vein for the IV. We are now using the TD-DMPS for the last 10 weeks. We have seen a major decrease in seizures with this. We went from 3-6 seizures a week to 1 every week or 2. We have been using an antiviral for a year now, which has also helped decrease the seizures. Hope this helps Robin [ ] Lamictal My 3 1/2 year-old autistic son has just been prescribed Lamictal for the seizures he's having while asleep. We never even knew he was suffering from seizures. An EEG showed that he has seizures in both temporal lobes which affect speech. No wonder he is still non- verbal. I am just wondering if anyone has any advice or insight on this drug or condition. I believe the heavy metal toxicity is contributing to the seizures. Has anyone here stopped having seizures after detoxifying? Has anyone had a good or bad experience with Lamictal? Is it safe to chelate while on this drug? I haven't started chelation on him yet but was about to. Now I don't know if it'll be safe. Any info will be greatly appreciated. =======================================================

Has anyone here stopped having > seizures after detoxifying? if you go here: http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/LOVE_LETTERS.html and then use your browser to search the page for " seizure " you will find reports about seizures and chelation. Gaylen and report on a reduction of seizures with chelation. Also Gaylen reported on a child she knows who had increased seizures with chelation. This is a small sample, obviously, but, it is what I have to offer. good wishes, Moria Has anyone had a good or bad experience > with Lamictal? Is it safe to chelate while on this drug?
