Anyone live in Michigan State or know how the system works there?

Hi I haven't posted in a very long time so you probably won't

recognize me. What I'm looking for is a connection for a friend in

Michigan State. I live in Canada myself but my friend has married

within the last year and adquired a lovely little autistic girl. She

is all gung ho to help her little girl get the best possible

education that she can but is frustrated by the system.

I feel understanding how the system works was vital to getting my

little girl's needs met and think it would be really helpful if I

could get my friend hooked up with someone who understands the the

system in the States or Michigan itself.

Can anybody help us?
