1st cold with cast equals no sleep...

I have a question for all the cast veteren moms/dads--

Logan has his first cold in the cast. Logan has NEVER been a great sleeper....always waking up between 1-2 times a night...sometimes more. BUT with this cold he is have an incredibly hard time. We have put him on an incline/ humidifier/ and vicks baby rub....and he will NOT sleep....even a little.....Im not exagerating when I say he cries about about every 15 minutes...through out the night. We didnt know if it was because of his hard matress in the crib---so we moved him to our bed. Of course he wont sleep AT ALL in the crib anymore and now he will NOT sleep in our bed. I wasnt sure if he needed a softer matress because of the cast or what? But let me tell you----Im soooooooooooooooo tired now. This is going on the 4th day of wahhhhhhh every 15 minutes. For nap time.....we have to hold him in the recliner to get at least an hour in. Has anyone else had some kind of success on making them more comfortable with a cold and cast?
