Guest guest
I have a friend who is a teacher (regular ed.) in Michigan and she reports that the Governor of that state is very much anti-Special Ed. and cutting funding for that program is a priority with him. So your friend may have to deal with the individual school district to get the programs she needs for the child. There is still such a thing as IDEA and that is nationwide so they do have some rights but they just need to learn those rights (the information is readily available on the Internet) and to make the school aware that the family knows the rights and expects the school to honor them. I wish her luck! Tamara (mother of Jan,15, autism) and contracted to the MO DMH as a parent advisor. --- santanawildfire <santanawildfire@...> wrote: > Hi I haven't posted in a very long time so you > probably won't > recognize me.
