Since Autism or autism like disorders are a developmental disability I feel that

this toilet

training can be just that. The child is in a developmental stage that does not

able them to be

toilet trained. However if it is a behavior issue at some point (using this as

a weapon to get

attention with accidents that are deliberate then you have to do other things .)

At 14 Abbie is

toilet trained but pees and poops when she wants attention or a warm bath ON

PURPOSE.

Sometimes she has an accident so I can tell the difference (she says she has to

go potty and we

do not get to one on time) When she was four years old she was not yet

developmentally ready to

be toilet trained and it took us till she was age 9 or 10. SO it depends on the

level the

child is really at. Maybe at 4 she was age 8 months in that area.
