Guest guest
I guess I never thought I would say this, but I'm rather fortunate. Ragan didn't talk until she was eight and even then she was very shy in public. She's never said anything that drew anyones attention to her (though her behavior sometimes does). I can't say that about my older (normal) daughters, though. My oldest, , was five at the time. My mother, I and my three daughters (Ragan was an infant) went shopping and after the lunch crowd had thinned went to a resturant. There were maybe three couples in this dining room. After we had eaten my mom takes the two older girls to the bathroom. It was a single toilet (no stalls). comes running out ahead of her sister and grandmother, her eyes bright with some new knowledge she had to share. Half way back to our table she couldn't contain herself anymore and loudly tells me that her grandmother had hair on her vagina! just like I did!, but it was gray! My mother was just turning into the dining room and froze. I was stumbling over my words " ERIN. NOT NOW! PLEASE WAIT! " The other people in the room, mostly middle-aged couples bit their lips but I know they struggled to not choke on their food. My mom never did come back into the dining room. I've never had anyone comment about Ragan, but then I can't recall the last time anyone said something rude to me regarding me or my children. But if they did it would be the last stupid thing they did in this lifetime. Maybe on some primative level rude people realized that.
