Thank you everyone so much for your support during my post cast blues the past week- it really helped, thank you!!! I am feeling way better now and much more optimistic again. We have our new cast date- Dec. 9th, which will be almost 4 months in this cast, the longest we've ever gone. Three seemed long. I hope it doesn't get too tight, but I'm also glad to have a 4 month break before the next cast trip. Life back to mostly normal : )The post cast blues don't last for too long for me, but it seems I have to go through them- the emotions- each time. It feels a lot like the symptoms of grief, if you've gone through that- and if you Google Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, the symptoms are very similar. Just wanted to mention that if anyone is going through it, finding out your child has such a

potentially serious condition and ongoing medical procedures- going back and back to the hospital- is certainly on the short list of things that can cause those feelings.Anyway, I am feeling MUCH better now and getting back in the swing! Although I am cautious to realize that those feelings can come and go, and it is normal for this not normal situation. Nick and I think there is a chance we will have only 2 more casts, because 4 months in this cast and 4 months in the next (cast #9) will bring us up to April, and with luck, Bex may be switched to a brace at that time. We just have to hang in there, we WILL get there! We can do it! : ) We are so grateful for this treatment and to everyone who has done so much for Bexon. Slow and steady wins the race. Heidi, Bexon's Mommy, (3 years old, in 8th cast from Salt Lake City Shriners, currently down from 62 degrees to 20 in cast)
