Guest guest
Good morning everyone, I'm kinda wondered about the free week off from the whole plan. I can't do it. I tried and I feel like crap and a day later I'm back. Other than that I have only stopped cardio and had a few non BFL meals including some ice cream. That's about it though... Maybe I've been doing this for so long now (2 years) that it is all I can think to do. How can I justify not doing what is working so well, to sabotoge myself? Personally I feel that this is a plan I am going to be on for as long as I'm able, not as long as the challenges last. Maybe I'm looking at it from a survival point of view. I am practicing (the past few weeks) what I'm calling " Controled Maintainence " I can live on this forever. I can listen to my body and know when I have to eat and when I need to exercise. I seem to know without having a schedule. I still drink all my water too. Since I wrecked my knee and with my gum surgery I have maintained quite well. I really looked at that and found that I wasn't working very hard at all to maintain. Ya gotta love that, right? This is a great thing to think about. What about when the challenges end? are you going to take time off? till when? if there are no more challenges? Then what? For me, I really needed to think beyond the challenges. I had to plan the rest of my life, around maintaining the body I've created. Can I do it? You betcha!!!!! Jen <--just thinking beyond myself

Guest guest
Hey Jen, In an earlier post you said that weighing 150 you still stick to the 150 gms each of protein and carbs daily. Did you adjust this down as your weight dropped - just curious. leaner.
Guest guest
Kit is right and I think a few days is all you need to fool the metabolizm. That's all I needed to fool my waist measurement too!! leaner. ...
Guest guest
Right, I didn't say I was following BFL to a T. just tweaking it so it is doable for long term use, for me. It seems to be working the past few weeks anyways. I'll keep you posted. I'm trying to learn from a maintenance stand point. Something I can live with forever. free days are still in place and added free meals throughout the week. I can live with something like this. I am trying to eat and exercise as I " feel " my body needs. I am listening to my body. I will do the next challenge and do some fine tuning but I'm looking towards the future. Kit is right and I think a few days is all you need to fool the metabolizm. ... Jen
Guest guest
Jen If you finished the program despite all your problems, why not send in your packet and at least get a medal? Leaner.
Guest guest
Jen I don't currently use a Flax Oil as BP says that if you eat salmon three times a week, you're probably getting enough oil intake. But so many people do that I'm thinking of adding it to my program. What difference did it make to you and how do you take it...in capsules? Leaner. Guest guest
Your right a, Funny thing about feeling like crap after eating poorly isn't it? after all, we used to eat that way all the time. I can't do it any more that's for sure. I start my new challenge on Monday. So I'll be back to fulltime BFL soon. I'll use the weekend to take care of that pesky metabolizm... LOL What with Bill selling so much of the company I don't know what kind of power he has now to keep this going, with eas anyways. Theres always Muscle Media though. My feeling is that eas might make us use their products (and only eas products) if they continue the challenges. I'm just planning for that.. I use a protein powder from another compnay as my only supplement besides vitamins. Jen PS: I didn't send in my packet this time as I had so many set backs with the knee and gums..and all, but I still feel like I finished...
