Guest guest
hey guys, its me back from the dead, the carb hell I might say. Planned on taking a week off and with my schedule it turned to 2, then 3 and now here I am. Gotta put a halt to it!! I've done too much bragging at work about these stupid size 6 jeans I've been able to wear. I am so excited to say that as of today, 4 woman in my real estate firm are now joining the program!! Yeah!! I feel like a sorry role model right now tho. Working 7 days a week right now and not much time for family much less trips to the gym. I'm doing most from my home gym. Gotta get psyched back up. Plus, a title co. in our building keeps bringing over fresh baked cookies, still warm no less!!! Ok, I can do this. Love muscle and sleeveless tops......cyn

Guest guest
I can't tell you the last time I had a banana but I'm sure it was in a myo shake ....I eat some food that aren't authorized, shhhhhh, don't tell Bill, K? I use red wine vinagar salad dressing (not necessarily lite), I don' t however soak it down. We need a certain amount of " good " fats. Pasta is just one of those things that I have to make from a box and it always has sauce so I veer away from it and also I can't just eat my allotted portion. Hubby thinks plain pasta is not worth the effort. Tomato sauces like spaghetti sauce are ok but it is the high sugar and fat content you have to watch I think, lotsa carbs. I found a good one at Pac and Save (Safeway brand) 2 g. fat and 10 carbs for a 1/2 cup. I use a little of it over my chicken sometimes. Your goal is a lowered fat balanced protein and carbs food plan. I weight 150 and consume 150 +/- protein and 150 +/- carbs each day. The calories are supposed to take care of themselves. We don't usually count them. Jen

Guest guest
FYI: Bananas ARE authorized!!!! It's true that they are not listed in the book, but Bill *does* list them on the audio tape. Now I might be wrong with what I say next, but I believe that *all* fruits are authorized as a carb. I don't believe that the list in the book was meant to be all inclusive; but rather just meant to give you an idea of what to eat, and to show the variety that's available. Above all things, follow your heart. - Mark > Tommy, I *may* be wrong. I'll have to double check the book. In fact, I go > check right now. > > Okay, I just looked. No bananas. Guest guest
All carbohydrates turn to sugar when metabolized; that why diabetics have to count carbs in order to adjust their insulin. Carrots are a veggie, and you should be eating 2 servs of veggies with at least 2 meals (I think that's what the book says). I whole heartedly agree that some fruits are better then others. But as far as I can tell, any non-processed fruit is authorized; Even for those of us trying to lose. So long as you keep to the proper portion size, they should all be ok. And what's really convenient is that most fruits, including bananas, come in a variety of sizes. So most people should be able to find one that fits their needs. > Mark, for those of us trying to lose weight along with build muscle, we must > keep in mind that fruits convert into sugar as it metabolizes in our bodies, > as I understand it. Guest guest
Carrots may be full of carbs, or not, I don't know. But I do know that they are a veggie, and therefore don't count as a carb. They fall into the same category as corn, peas, string beans, brocoli, asparagas, etc. They are a great source of all the macronutirents and what not, so consume them often. - Mark > > Carrots are a veggie, and you should be eating 2 servs of veggies > > with > > at least 2 meals (I think that's what the book says). > > Carrots are a carb, I think. > > R > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Corn is also a carb. Carrots, corn, and actually even peas should be counted as carbs, although Bill lists peas as a veggie. I would watch my consumption of carrots and corn. JMHO R --- Mark Fricault <markfricault@...> wrote: > Carrots may be full of carbs, or not, I don't know.
