Was it an outside company hired by your insurance agent or the EPA or who? My parents are displaced right now at the local hotel because they returned home after 3 weeks dealing with my aunt and her funeral only to find that their 2400 sq foot house had been flooded by the ice maker gone amuck. The carpeting will all have to go and the padding and there is already mold set up several places. The insurance agent and the carpet people think that it had to have happened right after they left because mold has had all this time to set up. Out of a 4 bedroom house all rooms are flooded. They are on a concrete slab and it is a one story house so I guess it could be worse. Anyway she was wondering who would be responsible for declaring it mold-free. Any info would be appreciated.
