Heidi,

Hang in there with almost no rotation maybe the next few casts will do the trick! Getting rid of the rotation is key in casting.

I bet the bright green cast is super cute!

Happy to hear you were able to meet more CAST families. Thank for the update......I have been wondering. TashaMommy of 5 year old twin boys- and Fort Worth, Texas is treated at Texas ish Rite Hospital in Dallas, TexasSeries of 6 casts for 14 months followed by bracing since September 2007You can read 's story at.... http://www.infantilescoliosis.org/stories.html

Bex is safely in a bright green Incredible Skinny Hulk cast!

He is still holding in cast at about 20 degrees.I am sad we didn't get a leap there. Out of cast he is probably 30-35 degrees, and this Mother does not feel safe at that number.

The very good news is he now has almost NO rotation- he began casting with severe rotation.

Thank you so much for your posts and prayers, we will press on for 2-3 more casts at least, praying for lower numbers by then. It's emotional each and every trip, but we met The Hannahs- Noah is one of our biggest inspirations- he looks just awesome in his brace! And we got to meet Olivia and her family- a treat. You CAST parents are the cream of the crop.Heidi, Bexon's Mommy, (3 years old, in 8th cast from Salt Lake City Shriners, currently down from 62 degrees to 20 in cast)

Heidi,

You are hilarious. I know the feeling of eating everything that won't run away!

you made me laugh out loud when I read that.

Sorry, you didn't get the correction you had hoped for but I agree with the

other posts that holding is great. Also, getting rid of the rotation is such

good news too.

Thanks for sharing about Kory too. That really does put things in perspective.

Chloe is been holding her curve out of cast at about 45-50 from the beginning

and in cast less than 10 so I guess we just keep casting unless it gets worse.

I kind of wish our doc did breaks with a brace over the summer though since that

is when it is hardest on all of us.

Bex is a darling and lucky to have such caring parents.

Heidi,

After so many casts, holding at 20 degrees must be disappointing and

frustrating! What did Dr. D'A say about it?

Thank you, Celeste, holding is way better than the alternative. We will most likely do a brace by next summer, I know a brace would not have held Bexon's stubborn, major curve like the casts have- and we sure wouldn't have gained the correction we have without them! Hi Heidi,

As someone on this group once told me... " its a long, slow process for some of

the cast kids " take it from me after 15 casts. Hang in there, your reward

awaits!!

Sorry, I'm behind on posts but you know I was gone this week for our casting as well. I wanted Isabella to do a green cast since she hasn't yet but she picked red again. The Incredible Hulk... how cool he must look! It looks as though we are in the same boat as you with numbers. I don't know what our in cast is as I only get out of cast numbers but we will hang in there together! I'm so glad to see that he has almost no rotation, that is amazing news!! So great that you got to meet some more families!
