If you are in Forsyth County or the surrounding area, I invite you to attend

the next meeting of Autism Spectrum Community Efforts and New Directions,

Exceptional Resources (A.S.C.E.N.D.-ER). Our meeting will take place on

Tuesday, August 9th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. During the first hour, we

will be viewing and discussing the Tony Atwood video on Anger Management.

The second hour, as usual, is devoted to the closed parent meeting.

A.S.C.E.N.D.-ER serves as a resource to individuals with autistic spectrum

disorders (ASD), their families, and the professionals involved in their

care and networking opportunities. It also contributes to the advancement of

awareness, knowledge, and understanding of ASD within the local and greater

community as well as meeting the needs of and therefore providing improved

quality of life for individuals with autism and their families.

A.S.C.E.N.D-ER meets at the Parkway Presbyterian Church on Bethelview Rd,

near exit 13 and GA 400. In order to provide funds for our various services,

we will also be collecting used inkjet cartridges. Please gather any you can

from friends and family and bring them to the meeting.

We do have babysitting available for our meetings but you must make

reservations in advance and we need to have a minimum number of children

pre-registered in order to offer this service. For price information or to

pre-register your child/children, please contact Deaton at

678-254-5019.

Please contact 678-254-5019 for more information about our group and

meetings. We look forward to seeing you there
