Guest guest
Hi Diane! I understand the Pflugerville school district has a good program, complete with a Carbone component of some sort. They are very nice there. Pflugerville is a suburb of Austin to the north, and many who live here easily commute into Austin. Call the school district to find out which elementary school(s) the Carbone unit operates out of, as that might effect where you live. I don't know much else about it, as we homeschool. Blessings! Guest guest
Hi! I believe someone already mentioned the Capital School and the Horizon Clinic. They are really great I have heard! Along the lines of Public School-- You probably want to stay out of the Austin ISD--have heard some bad stories. Above Austin (north)--I heard that one of those school districts has a good ABA program. Round Rock? Pfugerville (sp?) ? town? Below Austin (south)--Hays CISD trys to really work with parents to get the best services for the children. I have heard good stories -- but know right now they are tight on money. They do have a Behavior person --but do not think an ABA program. You will want to live in BUDA --your daughter going to Buda Primary Lower and Upper Campus or Oak Grove Elementary (just my opinion..the best schools in the district) Jeanine Pinner, Family Liaison Program, (512)268-8250 ext. 6949 I do not believe she works full time but she is very friendly and helpful. She can answer all your questions. Going further south--stay away from San Marcos CISD (I should put that in BIG, BOLD letters). Would not offer us ANY service ---not like I would have left my daughter in their run down schools, its scary! Hope this helps! Feel free to email me if you need phone numbers or such. I do not mind looking them up in the phone book. Take Care, > Hi everyone, > > We are moving to Austin in early summer and I am > wanting to get more information on the resources and > school districts there in the area. > >
