Guest guest
Thank you all for the information. I know I have some reading to do. As for having dual DX... Yes I am OK and pushed for the DRS to FINALLY see what I see! My son does have Down Syndrome... but so does my oldest daughter who is 12yr.. and in comparison to other kids with DS.. MY son is a bit different! He did not make eye contact, still hums some.. he never like to be touched grabbed or really in a sence to play with! He spoke a few words back when he was 2 or so.. GRANT it was only mama and dada and eat.. drink.. BUT lost those words within 6months.He would not sign .. he chews on almost everything.. loves velcro. Hates to actually eat cruchy or chewy textures. Had a g-tube till 3yrs old. He self stims on anything that spins around and around. We also suspect that OCD plays in as well.. he has to have tapes in certain places.. shoes.. pullups and even wipes all certain assign spots! His food can not touch. He is a head banger and don't care what he hits. He put through walls, doors, and even windows. He can be very aggressive and yet the DOWN SYNDROME side shines of the sweetness. He is very different compare to most DS kids. WOW! I amazed myself actually putting all this down and actually realized he is a hand full! The socail worker from medicade mention getting ABA part of his funds!
