Guest guest
My 5 yo ASD daughter is on the gfcf diet. Does anyone have any idea where I could purchase Rich's Whip Topping in central Texas or online? I have tried the site, but it is no help as they only sell in bulk amounts through brokers. Blessings! Guest guest
I wish I could help you, but I can give you a really easy recipe so you don't have to buy it. It is made with soy, so if you are on a soy restricted diet, this is not for you. 2 minutes and a blender: From vegsource.com EASY, DELICIOUS, WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE EVEN THE REAL DECADENT NON-VEGAN STUFF MAYONNAISE 1 package tofu (soft works best), chunked up a bit 2 tablespoons lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, cider vinegar or other sour thing of your choice 1/2 (rounded) teaspoon salt optional: 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish or dry hot mustard powder 1-2 cloves garlic Buzz until smooth, scraping down once or twice. Makes nearly 2 cups, and keeps in the fridge for a week or two in a sealed jar (mason jars work well; plastic not so well, unless you like your plastic thoroughly garlic-infused). Honest. This is better than anything. Add a bit of sweetener if you like that Miracle Whippy taste to your mayo, rather than a Hellman's Real flavour. Use garlic powder if you find raw cloves too strong. And if you use the tofu Light, it has like 7 calories per tablespoon, and practically zilch fat. JM OT: GFCF diet -- Rich's Whip Topping? My 5 yo ASD daughter is on the gfcf diet. Guest guest
You could maybe try Jet Puff Marshmallows as an icing. We avoid sugar so we have never used it. Guest guest
Opps! You needed whipped topping, NOT miracle whip. Here are 2 options: Whipped Topping 1/2 cup soymilk 1 tsp agar flakes 1 Tbs water 2 tsp vegetable oil (cold-pressed corn oil recommended) 1/8 tsp cream of tartar 1 tsp vanilla 1 Tbs corn syrup or rice syrup From: Deborah (Recipes.vegsource.com) Tofu Whip 1 box extra-firm silken Tofu 1/3 cup cold-pressed corn oil 1/4 cup corn syrup or rice syrup 1 Tbs soymilk 1 & 1/2 tsps vanilla 1 & 1/2 tsps lemon juice Few grains of salt Put all ingredients into a food processor or blender. Whip until very smooth. Refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours before using. Mix the soymilk, agar, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Simmer, for 5 minutes, until the agar has dissolved, stirring 2 or 3 times. Pour the soymilk mixture into a measuring cup, and add enough water to make 1/2 cup. Refrigerate for 45 minutes. Combine the chilled soymilk mixture with the oil, cream of tartar, and vanilla. Beat at high speed with an electric beater for about 10 minutes. After about 3 minutes, slowly add the corn syrup. Total whipping time is about 10 minutes. Cream will form into gentle peaks. Use like whipped cream. Keeps several days. Don't freeze. OT: GFCF diet -- Rich's Whip Topping?
