I truly believe our Higher Power (whomever it is to you) calls the shots in our lives no matter how much we fight it. Eventually it's not our decision . I have a 1 year old daughter as well as my son KD who is 28 who has severe autism. So far so good for her. She is only a year, but she talks more than he ever did so we're hoping it didn't pass on to her as well. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck and all the love in the world for you and your family. Boy, will be four in December; we really hadn't decided if we were going to have any more children after his dx. Guess we don't have to decide anymore!! Anyway, I was looking for any referrals of a good OB in the DFW area for my pregnancy. I was kind of wanting some one aware of Autism so, we can approach this in a pretty natural way...not that I will deny an epideral mind you!! But, just looking for a good sincere doc that can put up with my unstable, hormonal, emotional state. She doesn't know a whole lot about autism, but I highly reccomend her for prenatal care & well woman checks. She delivered both my boys. The staff at St. always had excellant things to say about her. I've spoken to him quite a bit about my son. He is very open minded and would do as you request I believe. He has an incredible bedside manner and is a neat dr.
