Guest guest
just on my own experience i'd advise you to get more assessments if your seeking additional therapies.Generally speaking you can get further with the school if you show testing that supports that your child needs them along with recommendations of programs.A good starting point is to get a good psychoeducational evauluation done.Reports and recommendations by private therapists are somewhat good too.Keep in mind administered tests that prove that your child needs the additional help are really more useful than reports though, but any info you can gather from specialists are helpful. Guest guest
Hi, My 4 year old was diagnosed with Autism about 7 months ago although he does have other disabilities as well. We are coming up on our first IEP meeting since that diagnosis and I would like to know what we can reasonably expect from the school system. We are happy with the schooling he is getting (about 10 hours a week) but with the therapy needs for autism being so much more than what he was receiving up to that point, is it reasonable to ask for more? By the way we are in Walton county. Thanks! Henshaw
