Kombucha working better than advanced healing hand lotion

I've been having problems with cracked fingertips b/c of the cold, dry

weather here just East of Lake Ontario in NY state, and all the

knitting I've been doing with acrylic yarn. Using advanced healing

hand lotion hasn't had a noticeable effect and last Friday evening (5

days ago), my fingertips throbbed so badly (the same pain as multiple

deep paper cuts) that I had to put some anesthetic ointment on them

and bandage them.

The next day, I squished up part of a baby scoby, added some finished

KT and put it in a bowl covered with wax paper on my counter. Every

time I wash my hands (and whenever else I think of it), I put some of

the liquid on my hands, just like I would hand lotion and let it dry.

Wow! The cracking, flaking dry skin is totally gone AND the deep

cracks on my fingertips that hurt so much are nearly healed and don't

hurt any more. I'm still knitting, perhaps more than before, since the

project is a Christmas present and time is getting short, so it's

definitely the KT.

Just wanted to share,

Dee
